Janet Roome - The Journey so Far

Somewhere in the middle of the 1990's I was suddenly awakened to the amazing possibilities of all that exists out there in the Universe and beyond !

It was not like something I could go and buy. I felt as though it was something that existed underneath myself. Something that didn't need to begin - something that had always been there that just needed a little nurturing.

And so the nurturing began and has never stopped ! I learnt Reflexology and Reiki around the same time and read book after book after book on all things metaphysical. And enrolled on may different courses including Reflexology and Reiki.

I was first introduced to Dr Usui in a Reiki I attunement when my hands felt as though they were growing larger and larger. But when I looked at them they were still the same size. Dr Usui told me I would go on and be a Reiki Master which I found astonishing. I had no idea where the money would come from for the courses. But of course it did and here I am now embarking on my second web site as a Reiki Master Teacher.

I learnt Reiki I with about 25 other people in Manchester . I worked with this amazing energy for a while and after giving treatments to many friends and family I felt I was ready to embark on Reiki II. I took this degree of Reiki in the Peak District, where I live and work. I also took my first Reiki Master Teacher course about 12 months later in the same place and with the same Master.

I found a room in Matlock where I could work and my healings began. I started a meditation group which turned into a Reiki Sharing Group. One of the first people who I attuned to Reiki Mastership was a friend with whom I later went on to open The Peak School of Reiki where we taught courses together for a number of years. After this time we both felt the need to expand even further and run our own courses and we both started new schools of Reiki; mine being the Spirit of the Peaks Reiki. So that is how the Spirit of the Peaks was formed. I am a spirit of that first school of Reiki . The Peak School of Reiki which no longer exists because it expanded into something far greater; two schools of Reiki and healing.

Along the years I have spent in teaching and practicing Reiki the thing I have most loved is the wonderful people I've met both in the course of the teaching and giving Reiki healings to people.

Accreditations

I learnt Reiki Mastership from two different masters at different times. The first Reiki Master that taught me to be a Reiki Master Teacher was a lovely lady called Rita Marr, who I believe now lives in South Africa .

William Rand was the second master who taught me Reiki Mastership (Usui/Tibetan) and I found him to be a lovely man filled with compassion for all humanity. My meeting with William Rand subsequently lead to him offering me the job of being the Karuna Reiki® Representative for the U. K.
